FAQ

Straight answers on managed IT

Questions owners and office managers in Duluth, Suwanee and nearby Gwinnett towns ask us most.

What does managed IT mean in practice?

You hand day-to-day care of your computers, network, logins, defenses and backups to an outside team, paying a flat monthly amount. They maintain things so fewer problems happen, and fix what still breaks.

Which areas around Duluth do you cover?

Duluth and Suwanee, including the Pleasant Hill Road, Gwinnett Place, Satellite Boulevard and Sugarloaf Parkway areas, plus Johns Creek, Norcross, Peachtree Corners and Lawrenceville. See our IT support page for how visits work.

When will I hear back after contacting you?

A senior engineer replies within one business day. Once you are a client, your agreement spells out response times for each level of urgency.

How much should we budget?

That depends on headcount, equipment and the services you want. You get a flat monthly quote once the assessment is done; one-off projects are priced separately before they start.

Do you support businesses with a warehouse or distribution floor?

Yes. Warehouse Wi-Fi, scanners, label printers and shipping or inventory PCs are part of the support, with changes timed around your shifts.

Our staff work in Korean and English. Can you set things up for that?

Yes. We configure Korean language support across Windows, Microsoft 365 and printers. Our help desk communicates in English, and we can work through a bilingual contact on your team.

How do you protect us from fake invoices and wire fraud?

With MFA, sign-in rules, email filtering, alert monitoring and a written policy to confirm bank detail changes by phone. Details are on our cybersecurity page.

We have someone in-house for IT. Do we still need you?

Possibly, as support for them. A common split is that your person handles walk-up requests while we cover security, monitoring, larger projects and backups, with responsibilities listed in the agreement.

Is it time to retire our office server?

Frequently, yes. Shared files and mail fit comfortably in Microsoft 365. Certain accounting, ERP or warehouse programs, though, still want a server, either in your closet or in a data center.

What happens if ransomware hits us?

We cut infected computers off the network, work out what the attackers reached, rebuild from clean backups and guide you handle notifications to your bank, insurer or customers if needed. See backup and disaster recovery.
